Founder and managing Lawyer of the North Calgary Legal Centre and Donna Gee Legal

Donna is a country girl who grew up on a farm near Banff that supplied fruit and vegetables to residents of Banff and the surrounding area. She has happy childhood memories of fresh well water, crisp mountain air, picking wild strawberries, and riding her bike along countless miles of trails.
She received her law degree in 2004 from the University of Calgary Law School and has practiced law since then, focusing on family law, seniors’ advocacy, adult guardianship and trusteeship matters, administrative law (such as mental health review panels) and Wills, Estates and Estate litigation.
Donna is enthusiastic about law and working for the rights of her clients; she does so with compassion especially where seniors are concerned. She has logged hundreds of hours of court time before all levels of court in Alberta: small claims, Provincial, Queens Bench, and the Court of Appeal.
She also believes in community service and has spent most of her adult life serving in leadership positions such as president, chair, or vice-president on a diverse array of boards and associations including: President of the Arbour Lake Community Association, President of the Alberta Association of Registered Nurses in Independent Practice, Chair of the national Canadian Bar Association (CBA) Elder Law section, Chair of the Alberta CBA Elder Law section, Vice president of the Seniors’ Resource Centre of Alberta, and past president of the Alberta Arbitration and Mediation Society (AAMS).
Donna is also a successful businesswoman and entrepreneur who understands the
business side of law and the particular needs of her business clients. She has founded and been the managing lawyer of two successful law firms: North Calgary Legal Centre and Guardian Law Group LLP, as well as co-founder and managing partner of Paramount Law LLP, a full service law firm with a strong, experienced and dedicated group of lawyers and legal teams.
In her spare time, Donna loves to spend time with close friends and family, travelling throughout Alberta and abroad, and scuba diving in hot, sunny places.
